In The Court of King Crimson
Helter Skelter, 2001

"Sidney Smith's The Toxic Tome demonstrates, to anyone who needs persuasion, that music enters our world despite those that nominally give rise to it, not because of them." Robert Fripp

There's not a week goes by when I don't get an email from someone asking if my biography of King Crimson is available.

Since its publication in 2001, the book has been translated into Italian, Polish and Japanese and now that the rights have reverted to me, I'm working on an expanded, enlarged edition.

I had hoped to get this out in 2010 but the pressures of having to earn a living from writing about things other than who said what to whom in KC during the spring of 1972 means that progress on the new edition has been slow. Stay tuned for further details.

You can read about the book's London launch party way-back-when over on the blog.
